PLANNER – PEP TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT

Working Days: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
- coordinate and direct plans for community needs assessments, while working with staff and CLUPC
- assist in researching, gathering data, and presenting solutions in one or more of the following programs areas; public safety, welfare, housing, transportation, land use, public utility, pollution and other environmental related issues
- provides technical support and administrative assistance to CSC and RSC staff
- clarifies and interprets policies, goals and objectives, planning and research activities, makes analysis of data collected and presents recommendation with supporting conclusions and findings
- provides technical support to program staff, formulates, defines clarifies and interprets the policies, goals and objectives, activities of planning, research and proposals, submitting reports to CSC on a bi-weekly basis
- work involves a minimal physical effort in an office environment
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- knowledge of planning concepts, principles, techniques and practices of community planning
- knowledge of data gathering and research techniques
- skill in computer literacy, map reading
- establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and communicating effectively
- ability to understand both the Navajo and English languages
Other requirement’s:
- high school/GED, planning experience or related filed
- valid state driver’s license or identification card
